OptinMonster
Hosted lead-generation and popup platform with a free WordPress connector; popups, bars, slide-ins and gamified campaigns for marketers.
Email opt-in plugin from Elegant Themes with popups, fly-ins, inline and locked-content forms, split testing and stats, included with every membership.
Bloom is the email opt-in plugin from Elegant Themes, the company behind Divi. It is not sold on its own: every Elegant Themes membership (yearly or lifetime) includes Bloom alongside Divi, Extra and Monarch, with unlimited site use. It first launched in 2015.
Bloom offers six opt-in types: automatic popups, corner fly-ins, below-post forms, inline forms placed by shortcode, widget forms and locked-content forms that reveal part of a post once the visitor subscribes. Each opt-in is set up in a three-step admin screen: connect an email account, style the form, then choose where and when it appears. Display rules cover the whole site, the homepage, archives, categories, tags, post types and individual posts or pages, with include and exclude lists.
Popups and fly-ins can fire after a delay, after inactivity, at the bottom of a post, after scrolling a set percentage, after a visitor comments, after a WooCommerce purchase, or when a chosen element is clicked. Bloom uses whichever trigger happens first.
There are 100+ templates, and the design panel controls orientation, image placement, borders, edges, colours and fonts with a live preview, rather than a free-form drag-and-drop canvas. Split testing lets you run several variations of one opt-in, and the stats dashboard reports conversion rates and list growth. Subscribers are sent to about 20 providers, including Mailchimp, ConvertKit, ActiveCampaign, HubSpot, Salesforce and MailPoet.
Bloom is a sensible choice for existing Elegant Themes members who need straightforward list-building forms at no extra cost. Anyone needing advanced targeting or many campaign formats will outgrow it.
Best for: Elegant Themes members who want simple popup, fly-in and inline email opt-ins without paying for another plugin.
Bloom covers the basics of list building well and is effectively free for Divi users, with split testing and stats included. Its feature set has not kept pace with newer popup tools: there is no exit intent, no bars or full-screen mats and only content-based targeting. Choose it for value, not depth.
