wpDataTables
Data-heavy sites that need database-backed, filterable, editable tables and charts.
Table editors, Excel and Google Sheets import, live sync, WooCommerce product tables, sorting, filters and charts: how the main WordPress table plugins compare.
WordPress has a basic table block, but it cannot sort, search, filter or handle large amounts of data. Table plugins add spreadsheet-style editors, import from Excel and Google Sheets, responsive layouts for mobile, filters and charts, and in some cases WooCommerce product tables for quick ordering. We compare the most popular options, including TablePress, Ninja Tables, wpDataTables, Data Tables Generator by Supsystic, WP Table Builder, Tableberg, FlexTable and WooCommerce Product Table by Barn2. Each one is checked against 18 features covering building tables, display, and data and editing.Every feature is marked as free, paid, add-on, partial or not offered, with a note and a link to the source. The ranking combines feature coverage with popularity and ratings.
Overall score = 55% features, 20% popularity, 25% ratings. Filter by the features you need, or tick two plugins to compare them.

Comparison and pricing tables, data tables from spreadsheets and WooCommerce product tables are quite different jobs. Visual builders such as WP Table Builder and Tableberg suit designed comparison tables; TablePress, Ninja Tables and wpDataTables suit data; Barn2's Product Table is built for stores.
If the data already lives in Excel or Google Sheets, look for reliable import or live sync so you do not maintain it twice. For large data sets, server-side processing and database tables keep pages fast.
Wide tables are hard to read on phones. Check the responsive options: horizontal scroll, stacked rows or collapsible columns.
Sorting, search and column filters make big tables usable. Charts, conditional formatting and front-end editing are often paid features, so compare the plan you would need.
Some table plugins load their scripts on every page. Prefer ones that only load assets where a table is shown.
