WPML
Premium multilingual plugin for WordPress with a side-by-side translation editor, AI translation credits, WooCommerce support and team workflows.
Hosted AI website translation for WordPress with a free 10,000-word plan, visual editor, glossary and SEO-friendly language URLs.
ConveyThis is a cloud website translation service with a WordPress plugin. It combines its own AI engine with machine translation such as Google Translate, serves translations from its CDN and adds language URLs, hreflang tags and translated metadata so search engines can index each language.
After connecting the plugin to a ConveyThis account, you pick a source language and target languages. The service takes a snapshot of your rendered pages, so posts, custom post types, menus, widgets, theme strings, forms, media captions and WooCommerce products, checkout and emails are translated without per-plugin integrations. Languages can be served on sub-directories or sub-domains, visitors can be redirected by browser language, and a customisable switcher handles navigation.
Translations can be corrected in a visual on-page editor or a text editor in the dashboard, with a glossary to lock brand terms and translation memory to reuse past edits. ConveyThis can also build a custom AI language model from your glossary and edits, and professional translation can be ordered from the dashboard through a partner agency. Existing translations can be imported from CSV or TMX files, including exports from Weglot and Bablic.
A free plan covers 10,000 words and one language on one site. Paid plans are priced monthly by words and languages: Starter $12 (60,000 words, 1 language), Business $24 (200,000 words, 3 languages), Business+ $40, Pro $64 (5 languages, 3 domains), Pro+ $110 and larger tiers up to 20 million words; yearly billing gives two months free. Note that the WordPress.org readme still quotes older, lower word limits.
The main drawbacks are that translations are stored on ConveyThis servers, costs rise quickly with each extra language and word tier, and plan-level feature details are presented inconsistently between the pricing page and readme. Its WordPress.org rating is also lower than most rivals.
ConveyThis fits small to mid-sized sites that want a managed, no-code translation service with editing and human-translation options and are happy to pay by word volume.
Best for: Small and mid-sized sites that want a managed, no-code translation service with a free entry tier and optional human translation.
ConveyThis offers a capable hosted translation stack with useful editing tools and a free plan for testing. Its language- and word-based pricing gets expensive for multi-language sites, so it is best when you need only a few languages.

Our estimate, see method below.
How we estimated this: About 1.5K free installs x 25% (the usual share of free sites that also run the paid version when a hosted service whose free tier is tightly capped) gives 380. The vendor figure (20K+ websites) is more than 8 times the free installs, so it probably counts more than this plugin (other products or platforms) and we leave it out. Likely range: 190 to 740. This counts sites running the paid version, including sites whose licence has lapsed. Estimates are rough and based on public figures as of 14 Oct 2026.
