Extra Product Options for WooCommerce (ThemeHigh)
ThemeHigh's freemium product fields plugin: 20 free field types in sections with product/category rules; Pro adds pricing, formulas, uploads and swatches.
Themeisle's WooCommerce product options plugin: nine free field types with conditional logic, and 30+ Pro inputs such as uploads, swatches and price matrices.
PPOM (Personalized Product Option Manager) is a long-running WooCommerce add-ons plugin, now developed by Themeisle. It adds custom input fields to product pages so shoppers can personalise an item or pick paid extras, and it adds the cost of those choices to the cart line. Fields are organised into groups that can be attached to individual products or to whole categories.
The free plugin on WordPress.org includes nine input types: text, textarea, select, radio, checkbox, date, email, number and hidden. Select, radio and checkbox options can carry their own price, entered either as a fixed amount or as a percentage of the product price, and there is a one-time fee option for charges that should not multiply with quantity. A price table under the fields shows the option total and overall total as choices change. Free also includes display conditions between fields, input masks, role-based field visibility, category-wide groups, the ability to restrict a group to selected variations, and WPML/Polylang compatibility.
PPOM Pro adds more than 30 input types across three plans. The Essential plan unlocks file uploads with an image cropper, image and colour option pickers, font pickers, a personalisation preview, date ranges with time, measure inputs for area-based pricing, text counters with per-character charges, price matrices for quantity discounts, extra conditional operators, tag-based assignment, multiple groups per product and import/export. Plus adds cart editing, a field repeater, field pop-ups and quantity packs, and VIP adds a domain checker and variation quantity matrix.
PPOM fits stores selling personalised or made-to-order goods that need many specialised input types, and that run, or are happy to run, the classic WooCommerce cart and checkout.
Best for: Personalised-product and print stores on the classic checkout that need many specialised input types.
PPOM offers one of the widest ranges of product inputs available, and its free version is more generous on pricing than most rivals, with percentage prices and a live total. The block-checkout incompatibility and steep full-price renewals are the main drawbacks to weigh up.
What PPOM – Product Addons & Custom Fields for WooCommerce highlights on its WordPress.org page and its own website, split by version.

Our estimate, see method below.
How we estimated this: The vendor figure (20K+) is within WordPress.org's rounding of the free installs, so it says nothing about paid sites. About 25K free installs x 12% (the usual share of free sites that also run the paid version when some key features are paid, and store owners upgrade more often) gives 3K. Likely range: 1.5K to 6K. This counts sites running the paid version, including sites whose licence has lapsed. Estimates are rough and based on public figures as of 14 Oct 2026.
