Extra Product Options for WooCommerce (ThemeHigh)
ThemeHigh's freemium product fields plugin: 20 free field types in sections with product/category rules; Pro adds pricing, formulas, uploads and swatches.
Premium WooCommerce product add-ons plugin from Barn2 with 16+ option types, conditional logic, price formulas, cart editing and import/export.
WooCommerce Product Options is a premium-only add-ons plugin from Barn2, the UK company behind WooCommerce Product Table and other store plugins. It adds extra options to product pages, from text boxes and checkboxes to image buttons, colour swatches, file uploads, date pickers and product selectors, and changes the price as customers make choices. There is no free version on WordPress.org.
Options are built in groups. Each group can be shown on all products, on chosen categories or on specific products, and it can be excluded from others, so one set of options can cover a whole catalogue. Inside a group you choose from more than 16 option types, set prices as flat fees, percentages, quantity-based or per-character charges, and add conditional logic so options appear only when relevant, including logic based on the selected variation. A live total updates on the product page, and the choices carry through to the cart, checkout, emails and order screen.
The standout feature is the price formula option. It can read values from other options, for example characters typed in a text field, how many checkboxes are ticked, a number the customer entered or the day count of a date, and combine them with math and logical functions to work out a price. This suits measured goods, printing and made-to-order products. Recent versions added cart editing, extra layouts such as tabs and step-by-step forms, an import/export tab and full WPML integration. A separate Live Preview add-on, sold as a bundle, shows customers a visual preview of their personalisation.
It is a strong pick for stores with complex, formula-driven pricing or visual configurators that would rather pay once for a fully featured tool than piece together free plugins and add-ons.
Best for: Stores with formula-based or configurator-style pricing that want every feature in one paid licence.
Barn2's Product Options is one of the most capable premium add-ons plugins, with a formula engine, flexible group targeting and recent additions like cart editing and import/export. The lack of a free tier and the higher price make it best for stores that will actually use the advanced pricing.
