Elementor
The most widely installed visual page builder for WordPress, with a free drag-and-drop editor and Pro plans adding theme, popup, form and…
Developer-focused visual builder from Soflyy with direct CSS control, sold as one lifetime licence for unlimited sites; Oxygen 6 runs on the Breakdance engine.
Oxygen is a visual site builder aimed at developers and CSS-literate designers. Like Breakdance, its sibling from Soflyy, it replaces the theme and builds every part of the site: headers, footers, singles, archives, search and 404 templates. The current generation, Oxygen 6, is a ground-up rebuild on the Breakdance engine, with version 6.2 in release candidate in late 2026.
Oxygen 6 favours a class-first workflow with direct CSS control rather than abstracted design panels. You get CSS variables for design systems, components for reusable parts, an interactions engine for animations and behaviour, display conditions (including PHP conditions), and post, term and repeater loops fed by dynamic data from WordPress and ACF. Element Studio lets developers build their own elements, and WP-CLI and custom code areas cover advanced needs.
Oxygen is sold as a single lifetime licence for $199.50, covering unlimited personal, client, staging and local sites with lifetime updates and a 60-day refund. The current bundle includes the Breakdance Elements (100+ extra elements, mega menus), Breakdance Forms and Breakdance WooCommerce extensions, which are otherwise $49.99/year each. Soflyy has said pricing may change, and Oxygen 6’s future standard price has been quoted as $399.99.
Oxygen is not for beginners. Popups are assembled with interactions rather than a dedicated popup builder, forms and WooCommerce rely on the bundled Breakdance extensions, and there is no free version or documented white-label setting. Oxygen 6 is a new platform, so moving older Oxygen Classic sites takes planning.
Who should pick it: developers who want a CSS-centric visual builder with no recurring fees.
Best for: Developers who want a CSS-first visual builder with lean output and no recurring licence fees.
Oxygen 6 is an excellent value developer tool: one payment covers unlimited sites, and the class-first workflow keeps output lean. Non-technical users and anyone wanting turnkey popups will be happier with Breakdance, Elementor or Divi.

Our estimate, see method below.
How we estimated this: The vendor says 100K+ sites use it; we take 80% of that (80K) because vendor counts are rounded up and include lapsed sites. Website scans by WPoptic find the paid plugin (folder oxygen) on 206,061 live sites; the scans reach roughly 38% of WordPress sites, so each site found stands for about 2.6, giving 540K. 30,000 paying customers or sales over 9 years; assuming 40% still use it and 1.3 sites per licence gives 16K. Combining these (weighted average) gives about 110K. Likely range: 72K to 170K. This counts sites running the paid version, including sites whose licence has lapsed. Estimates are rough and based on public figures as of 14 Oct 2026.
