Crisp Live Chat
French-built hosted chat and shared inbox with a free 2-seat plan and flat per-workspace paid plans adding omnichannel, the Hugo AI agent…
Floating chat widget that links visitors to WhatsApp, Messenger, Telegram, phone, email and 20+ other channels, with targeting and agents in Pro.
Chaty by Premio is a floating contact widget rather than a live chat inbox. It adds a button to your site that opens a menu of channels, so visitors can start a conversation in WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Telegram, Viber, Instagram, Slack, Discord, SMS, phone, email and about 25 channels in total. Replies happen in each messaging app, so there is no separate agent dashboard to staff.
The free version is unusually complete: you can add unlimited channels, set separate channels for mobile and desktop, show a call-to-action bubble with attention effects, and use time, scroll and exit-intent triggers. A WhatsApp pop-up window and a simple contact form are included, and all settings and form leads stay on your own site.
Chaty Pro adds the features teams usually need: several agents inside one channel, multiple widgets with page, language, country and traffic-source targeting, schedules by day, hour and date, widget analytics and Google Analytics events, contact form leads by email with reCAPTCHA and Mailchimp or Klaviyo, and pop-ups personalised with merge tags such as WooCommerce product details.
For real-time on-site chat, Premio offers Chatway, a separate live chat service that plugs into Chaty as a channel. Chatway has its own free plan (one seat, 50 conversations a month), mobile apps, canned responses and an optional AI support agent billed per resolved conversation. This is an external SaaS account, not part of the Chaty plugin.
Who should pick it: businesses that already talk to customers on WhatsApp or social apps and want one tidy button covering every channel. Teams that need a shared live chat inbox should pair it with Chatway or choose a dedicated live chat tool.
Best for: Sites that want one floating button for WhatsApp and many social or messaging channels without running a chat team.
Chaty's free version is one of the most generous multi-channel button plugins, and Pro is reasonably priced for agents and targeting. It is a contact launcher, not a help desk, so live chat and AI depend on Premio's separate Chatway service.
What Chaty highlights on its WordPress.org page and its own website, split by version.

Our estimate, see method below.
How we estimated this: WordPress.org shows 300K+ free installs, which could mean anything from 300K to 400K. The vendor says 400K+ sites, so we put the free count halfway between the middle of that range and the vendor figure, at about 380K. Website scans by WPoptic find the paid plugin (folder chaty-pro) on 11,296 live sites; they find the free version on 122,873 sites against about 380K WordPress.org installs, so each site found stands for about 3.1, giving 34K. About 380K free installs x 4% (the usual share of free sites that also run the paid version when most features are free) gives 15K. Combining these (weighted average) gives about 31K. Likely range: 20K to 47K. This counts sites running the paid version, including sites whose licence has lapsed. Estimates are rough and based on public figures as of 14 Oct 2026.
