Booknetic
Premium appointment booking plugin from FS Code with staff, locations, workflows and a large add-on store, sold on its own site and…
Official Woo extension that turns WooCommerce products into bookable appointments, rentals or classes, paid through the normal WooCommerce checkout.
WooCommerce Bookings is the official bookings extension sold by Woo (Automattic) on the WooCommerce Marketplace. Rather than running its own booking system, it adds a bookable product type to WooCommerce, so appointments, rentals, tours and classes are added to the cart and paid for through the store’s existing checkout and payment gateways.
Each bookable product defines its duration (fixed blocks or customer-chosen lengths in minutes, hours, days or months), availability rules, costs and capacity. Persons let several people share a booking with different person types and prices, and resources model staff, rooms or equipment, each with its own availability. Store-wide availability, buffers between bookings, minimum notice and how far ahead customers may book are all configurable, and bookings can be shown in the customer’s time zone.
The approach is the main strength: coupons, taxes, gateways, emails and reporting all come from WooCommerce, and other Woo extensions plug in. The downside is that common booking features are separate purchases: Deposits, Product Add-Ons for extra booking fields and the Bookings Availability calendar each cost extra, and SMS reminders need AutomateWoo or another tool. There are no staff logins, no video meeting links, no Outlook sync, no service packages and no recurring appointment series, and Woo’s own docs say it is not designed for recurring events or one-off event tickets. Marketplace reviews are mixed, averaging under 3 stars.
Choose WooCommerce Bookings if you already run a WooCommerce store and want bookings to behave like products. Service businesses that need staff dashboards, video meetings or richer reminders will usually be better served by a dedicated appointment plugin.
Best for: Existing WooCommerce stores that want to sell appointments, rentals or tours as bookable products.
WooCommerce Bookings is the natural choice when bookings must live inside a WooCommerce store and use its checkout, coupons and extensions. For appointment-led service businesses it is expensive once Deposits and Product Add-Ons are added, and it lacks staff dashboards, video meetings and SMS out of the box.
