Booknetic
Premium appointment booking plugin from FS Code with staff, locations, workflows and a large add-on store, sold on its own site and…
Appointment booking plugin from Repute Infosystems with a free Lite core and paid plans bundling 60+ add-ons for staff, payments and calendar sync.
BookingPress is an appointment booking plugin from Repute Infosystems aimed at salons, clinics, consultants, tutors and other service businesses. Customers move through a step-by-step booking wizard (service, date and time, details, payment), while the business manages appointments from an admin calendar and dashboard.
There are two layers. BookingPress Lite is free and covers unlimited services and bookings, the booking wizard, an admin calendar, customisable email notifications, PayPal and pay-on-site payments, and Gutenberg and Elementor support. Note that the Lite plugin’s WordPress.org listing was closed on 1 February 2025 for a guideline violation, so Lite is now downloaded from the vendor’s own site. The paid plans (Standard, Professional, Enterprise) unlock the premium plugin and its add-on library at no extra cost per add-on.
Strengths are breadth and price: even the entry plan includes most add-ons that rivals charge for individually, and lifetime licences are available. Limitations: the free version is thin (no staff, no Stripe, no customer panel, no calendar sync), several popular features sit behind the Professional plan, and the WordPress.org closure means the free core no longer gets the usual directory distribution or public review stream. Some users have reported support and edge-case scheduling issues in past reviews.
Pick BookingPress if you want a full-featured appointment system with lots of payment gateways and messaging channels for a modest annual or one-time fee, and you are comfortable buying from the vendor directly.
Best for: Service businesses that want a broad appointment system with many gateways and reminder channels at a low annual or lifetime price.
BookingPress packs a lot into its entry Standard plan, especially payments, calendar sync and messaging, which makes it good value for single-location businesses. The thin free tier and the closed WordPress.org listing are worth weighing, and multi-location or recurring setups need Professional.
