Booknetic
Premium appointment booking plugin from FS Code with staff, locations, workflows and a large add-on store, sold on its own site and…
Lightweight booking-form plugin by CodePeople for time-slot appointments, with a free core and low-cost paid versions adding payments and add-ons.
Appointment Hour Booking (AHB) by CodePeople is a booking-form plugin for appointments that have a start time and a set duration. You build one or more calendars, define services with their own duration, price and capacity, set open hours, working days, holidays and special dates, and the plugin calculates bookable start times automatically while preventing double bookings.
The free version on WordPress.org is genuinely usable: multiple calendars, multiple services per booking, service capacity for small groups, automatic price calculation, admin and customer email notifications, a built-in captcha, CSV reports and printable lists, an iCal export add-on, and Gutenberg and Elementor blocks. What it does not do is take payments; the free form also has limited field options.
The Professional (1 site), Developer (5 sites) and Platinum (25 sites) versions are annual subscriptions priced in euros, and all three share the same features. They add:
Strengths are price and reliability: even the paid tiers cost far less than most rivals, and the plugin has a high WordPress.org rating from hundreds of reviews. The trade-offs are an older-feeling, form-centric interface, no deposits, packages, recurring series or location module, and no dedicated staff app; staff are handled as separate calendars assigned to WordPress users. Customers can cancel through links but there is no full self-service reschedule portal.
AHB is a good pick for small businesses, clinics or tutors that want dependable slot booking on a tight budget, especially if they can live without payments or only need the inexpensive Professional version.
Best for: Small businesses that want reliable time-slot booking for free or for a low annual fee.
Appointment Hour Booking is a dependable, low-cost choice: the free version handles calendars, services and capacity, and €59/year unlocks payments, reminders, SMS and calendar sync. It lacks the polish and advanced options (deposits, packages, staff apps) of the bigger booking suites.

Our estimate, see method below.
How we estimated this: About 15K free installs x 12% (the usual share of free sites that also run the paid version when some key features are paid, and store owners upgrade more often) gives 1.8K. Likely range: 900 to 3.6K. This counts sites running the paid version, including sites whose licence has lapsed. Estimates are rough and based on public figures as of 14 Oct 2026.
