Overview
Smart Coupons is a long-running premium extension from StoreApps, sold on the official WooCommerce Marketplace and on storeapps.org. It combines gift cards and store credit with an extensive coupon toolkit, and it builds everything on WooCommerce’s own coupon system: a gift card or store credit is a special coupon type whose remaining value is tracked and reduced as it is used.
Gift cards and store credit
You can sell gift cards at a fixed value, in fixed denominations, at any amount the shopper chooses, or at a discount (pay less, receive more). Buyers can send a card to someone else with a message, schedule the email for a later date, or upload their own image. Store credit can be sent from admin to any email address, given as cashback, or issued instead of a money refund. Customers see their credits in My Account, and a shortcode shows the balance elsewhere. Coupons and gift cards can be printed from admin, from the customer’s account or from the email, which the docs present as a way to make physical cards. Expiry dates and expiry reminder emails are supported.
