Customer Reviews for WooCommerce
Free WooCommerce review plugin by CusRev with automatic review reminders, photo and video reviews, Q&A, review coupons and Google Shopping review feeds.
Free, developer-friendly plugin for collecting and displaying on-site reviews with schema, WooCommerce support and CSV import; premium add-ons extend it.
Site Reviews, built by Paul Ryley of Gemini Labs and sold through Nifty Plugins, is a self-hosted review system. Visitors submit star ratings and reviews through a form on your site, and you assign those reviews to posts, pages, custom post types, users or categories. Everything is stored in WordPress, so there is no external account or API involved.
The free version is unusually complete. It includes review forms, latest-reviews and rating-summary blocks and shortcodes, JSON-LD schema for rich results (with integrations for Yoast SEO, Rank Math and others), Bayesian ranking for sorting content by rating, responses to reviews, approval workflows and review limits. Spam control covers a honeypot, several CAPTCHA services, Akismet and a blacklist. It can replace WooCommerce product reviews and works with SureCart, supports WooCommerce’s customer review request email, verifies new reviews by email, sends notifications to email, Slack or Discord, and imports reviews from CSV. Developers get more than 200 hooks, templates, a REST API and WP-CLI commands.
Site Reviews Premium (from €89/year) bundles the official add-ons: Review Images for photo uploads and galleries, Review Filters for front-end search, sorting and filtering, Review Forms with a drag-and-drop builder and 20+ field types, Review Themes for grid and carousel designs, Review Notifications for scheduled and WooCommerce purchase reminder emails, Review Authors for front-end editing, Review Actions for upvotes, reports and DeepL translation, and Review Alerts.
Choose Site Reviews when you want to own your reviews on your own site, especially for products, services or directories, and you are comfortable with a developer-oriented plugin.
Best for: Sites and stores that want to collect and own reviews on their own pages, with schema and developer control.
Site Reviews is the most capable free on-site review plugin here, with schema, moderation, WooCommerce support and import all included. It is not a Google or Facebook review widget, and the nicer layouts, images and filters cost extra, but the core is generous and well maintained.
