SEOPress is a full-featured SEO plugin from a small French team that positions itself as a privacy-friendly, ad-free alternative to the larger suites. It adds a single SEO metabox to the editor (Gutenberg, Classic and the common page builders) where you set titles, meta descriptions, social previews, robots directives and canonical URLs, with dynamic variables for site-wide templates.
What the free plugin covers
The free version is unusually generous. It includes content analysis with an unlimited number of target keywords, XML and HTML sitemaps (including images), Open Graph and X cards, image SEO that fills alt text and titles from file names, per-post redirects, IndexNow and Google Indexing API pings, an llms.txt generator, quick-edit fields in post lists, and one-click migration from more than a dozen other SEO plugins.
