Overview
Rank Math SEO is a modular SEO plugin for WordPress that packs an unusually wide feature set into its free version. Each capability, such as sitemaps, schema, redirections, the 404 monitor, local SEO or image SEO, is a module you switch on or off, so sites only load what they use.
How it works
A setup wizard imports existing data from Yoast, AIOSEO, SEOPress and redirect plugins, then configures titles, sitemaps and schema defaults. In the editor, Rank Math scores content against a set of SEO tests for up to five focus keywords in the free version, previews snippets and social cards, and suggests internal links. A built-in Analytics module connects Google Search Console and GA4 to show traffic and keyword data inside WordPress, and the Instant Indexing module submits URLs through IndexNow.
Free vs PRO
PRO is billed per account rather than per site: the base PRO plan covers unlimited personal sites, while Business and Agency allow 100 and 500 client sites. Paid plans add keyword rank tracking (500 to 50,000 keywords), news and video sitemaps, a schema builder with far more types and conditional rules, multi-location local SEO, advanced WooCommerce product schema (GTIN, brands), a broken link checker, AI Link Genius automated internal linking, and longer analytics retention.
