Overview
YITH WooCommerce PDF Invoices & Packing Slips is a premium-only invoicing plugin from YITH, the Italian WooCommerce extension vendor. YITH once published a free version on WordPress.org, but that listing was closed in September 2021, so today the plugin is only available from yithemes.com with one year of updates and support.
The plugin generates invoices manually or automatically when an order reaches a chosen status, plus credit notes, proforma invoices, packing slips and receipts (customers can choose an invoice or a receipt at checkout). Invoice numbers can follow the order number, the order ID or their own sequence with a starting number, leading zeros and a yearly reset. Checkout can collect VAT and SSN fields, and there is an integration with YITH’s own EU VAT, OSS and IOSS plugin.
Documents are designed with a PDF template builder introduced in version 4.0, with nine ready-made templates, or by overriding the template files. Customers can download documents from their account, credit notes can be attached to the refund email, and admins get bulk actions, CSV export and ZIP downloads. Documents can also be backed up automatically to Dropbox or Google Drive.
Compliance and compatibility
YITH supports electronic invoicing for Italian companies (XML export) and, from version 5.5.0, validation of corrective invoices with Verifacti for Spain. The changelog lists HPOS compatibility since 2023 and support for the WooCommerce Checkout block since version 5.0. WPML is supported for translations, and the plugin integrates with YITH Point of Sale, Multi Vendor, Deposits and other YITH extensions.
