WooCommerce checkout field editor from ThemeHigh: add, edit and reorder fields for classic and block checkout, with conditional and price fields in Pro
Checkout Field Editor for WooCommerce (listed on WordPress.org as Checkout Field Editor (Checkout Manager) for WooCommerce) is ThemeHigh’s plugin for changing the fields on the WooCommerce checkout. It is one of the most installed checkout plugins in the directory, and it does one job: managing the billing, shipping and additional fields rather than redesigning the whole checkout page.
The free version lets you add, edit, disable, delete and drag-and-drop reorder fields. On the classic (shortcode) checkout it offers around 20 field types, including select, multi-select, radio, checkbox group, date, time and heading or paragraph fields. On the block-based checkout it currently supports about 10 types (text, number, textarea, select, radio, checkbox, email, URL, heading and paragraph). You can choose whether custom values appear on the order details page and in emails, apply basic validation (email, phone, number, postcode) and reset everything to the defaults with one click.
Strengths are the generous free field set, support for both classic and block checkout, and a modest single-site price. Limitations: block checkout support is narrower than classic, it is not a checkout redesign or conversion tool (no templates, order bumps, upsells or cart recovery), and multi-step checkout requires ThemeHigh’s separate Multistep Checkout plugin. ThemeHigh notes that custom field data is not passed through express wallets such as Apple Pay and Google Pay.
Pick it if you need extra or conditional checkout fields on a standard WooCommerce checkout and want a free starting point with a cheap upgrade path.
Best for: Stores that want to add, remove or conditionally show checkout fields on the standard WooCommerce checkout.
ThemeHigh's editor is a solid default for checkout field changes: the free version covers most basic needs and Pro adds conditional and price fields at a low price. It is a field manager, not a checkout redesign, so pair it with another tool if you want templates or upsells.

Our estimate, see method below.
How we estimated this: About 450K free installs x 12% (the usual share of free sites that also run the paid version when some key features are paid, and store owners upgrade more often) gives 54K. The vendor claims 600K+ sites in total. Taking away about 450K free installs leaves 150K, and 80% of that is 120K. Vendor totals are loose, so we only move our figure part of the way toward it, from 54K to 66K. Likely range: 33K to 130K. This counts sites running the paid version, including sites whose licence has lapsed. Estimates are rough and based on public figures as of 14 Oct 2026.
