The Events Calendar
Widely used WordPress events calendar with venues, organisers and month/list/day views, plus paid tiers for recurring events, ticketing and seating.
Premium WooCommerce ticketing plugin that turns products into events, with QR tickets, free check-in apps, Zoom, and seating and multi-day extensions.
FooEvents for WooCommerce is a premium ticketing plugin that turns WooCommerce products into events. Instead of a separate event post type, you add event settings (date, time, venue, map coordinates, capacity) to a product, and tickets are sold through the normal WooCommerce cart with any WooCommerce payment gateway, coupon, tax rule or reporting tool.
The core plugin generates branded HTML ticket emails with unique QR codes or barcodes, includes calendar links and .ics attachments, and supports free tickets for registrations. It handles stock and capacity, attendee data with CSV export, event reports, Zoom meetings and webinars (attendees can be registered automatically), Mailchimp audiences and tags, Google Maps, and Event and Attendee Listing blocks. Free iOS and Android Check-ins apps scan tickets at the door, search attendees, check in in bulk and work offline.
The core plugin is $99/year, and bundles run from $169 (Basic) to $399 (Point of Sale), each with 12 months of updates and support for one domain.
Its strengths are tight WooCommerce integration, reliable door check-in and a long track record. Limitations: it is not a full event calendar. There are no recurring event rules, no reusable venue or organiser profiles, no front-end submissions and no native Stripe checkout outside WooCommerce, and calendar views need the separate Calendar plugin. FooEvents is the logical pick for WooCommerce stores that sell event tickets alongside products and need scanning at the door.
Best for: WooCommerce stores that sell event tickets and need reliable QR check-in at the door.
FooEvents is a solid, mature ticketing layer for WooCommerce with good check-in apps and useful extensions for seating and multi-day events. It is weaker as a calendar or event directory, so pair it with FooEvents Calendar or choose a calendar-first plugin if listing and browsing events matters more than selling tickets.
