FluentCRM
Self-hosted email marketing and CRM plugin by WPManageNinja: unlimited contacts, campaigns and automation funnels, sending through your own SMTP or ESP.
Free WordPress connector for the Brevo (formerly Sendinblue) SaaS platform: sign-up forms, contact sync, SMTP and campaigns sent from Brevo.
Brevo, known as Sendinblue until 2023, is a hosted marketing platform covering email, SMS, WhatsApp, web push, chat and a light CRM. The WordPress plugin is a free connector: you paste a Brevo API key, and the plugin then syncs contacts, embeds Brevo sign-up forms through a widget or shortcode, and can route WordPress mail through Brevo’s SMTP relay. Contacts, campaigns, automations and reports all live in your Brevo account rather than in the WordPress database.
Campaigns are designed in Brevo’s drag-and-drop editor and sent from Brevo’s infrastructure, so deliverability, bounce processing and unsubscribes are handled for you. An RSS integration in Brevo can turn new blog posts into scheduled campaigns, and the visual workflow builder covers welcome series, re-engagement and other trigger-based emails. WooCommerce stores normally add the separate, free Brevo for WooCommerce plugin, which syncs orders, sends transactional emails through Brevo and powers abandoned-cart workflows.
The plugin costs nothing and Brevo’s Free plan stores up to 100,000 contacts, but sending is capped at 300 emails per day, every email carries Brevo branding, and only 2,000 contacts can enter automations. Paid plans are priced by monthly email volume rather than list size:
Brevo’s strength is breadth: email, SMS and transactional mail in one account, a mature editor, proper bounce handling and a generous contact allowance. Pricing by sends rather than contacts suits large lists that are emailed occasionally. The trade-offs are that your data sits with a third party, the WordPress plugin itself is thin (most work happens on brevo.com), the 300-a-day free cap makes the Free plan impractical for regular newsletters, and integrations with WordPress form, membership and LMS plugins depend on those plugins or tools such as WP Fusion and Zapier.
Pick Brevo if you want a hosted service that handles deliverability for you, need SMS or transactional email alongside newsletters, and are comfortable managing campaigns outside WordPress.
Best for: Sites that want a hosted email and SMS service with managed deliverability rather than sending from WordPress.
Brevo is a capable hosted platform with a well-built editor, real bounce handling and a contact-friendly pricing model. The WordPress plugin is only a bridge, and the Free plan's 300-a-day cap means most active senders will need a paid plan, but Standard is reasonably priced for what it adds.

Our estimate, see method below.
How we estimated this: About 150K free installs x 5% (the usual share of free sites that also run the paid version when a hosted service whose free tier is generous) gives 7.5K. Likely range: 3.8K to 15K. This counts sites running the paid version, including sites whose licence has lapsed. Estimates are rough and based on public figures as of 14 Oct 2026.
