Meta Box
Modular custom fields framework with 40+ field types, a free UI (Meta Box Lite) and paid extensions for groups, custom tables, views…
Crocoblock's premium dynamic content plugin: post types, meta boxes, custom tables, relations, queries and listings for Elementor, Gutenberg and Bricks.
JetEngine is Crocoblock’s toolkit for building data-driven WordPress sites. It combines content modelling (custom post types, taxonomies, meta boxes, options pages and relations) with display tools (listing grids, a query builder, dynamic widgets and blocks) in one premium plugin. It is sold on its own or as part of Crocoblock’s All-Inclusive subscription, and there is no free version on WordPress.org.
You register post types and taxonomies from the JetEngine dashboard, then create meta boxes that attach fields to posts, taxonomy terms, users, options pages, relations or Custom Content Types. About twenty field types are available, including gallery, map, date and time, colour picker, icon picker, posts and a repeater that can nest other fields. Each field can have conditional logic and a switch that exposes it in the REST API.
Custom Content Types (CCT) are the standout data feature: each CCT stores its items in a dedicated database table rather than in post meta, which keeps large datasets quicker to query. Relations can be one-to-one, one-to-many or many-to-many between posts, CCT items, terms and users, with their own meta fields.
On the display side, the Query Builder pulls posts, terms, users, comments, CCT items, SQL tables or remote REST data, and Listing Grids turn those queries into grids, sliders, maps, calendars or carousels designed in Elementor, the block editor or Bricks. Dynamic tags, dynamic visibility rules, tables and charts builders, a Profile Builder for front-end user accounts and post submission, and a Data Store for wishlists or favourites round it out. Recent versions add an MCP server and AI helpers that generate site structures and queries.
JetEngine suits designers and agencies building directories, listings, real estate or membership-style sites with Elementor, Bricks or the block editor who want data modelling and display in one package. Developers who prefer code-first field registration may find ACF-style tools a better fit.
Best for: Agencies and designers building directories, listings and other dynamic sites with Elementor, Bricks or the block editor.
JetEngine goes well beyond a fields plugin: it models data, queries it and displays it, with custom tables and relations that many rivals lack. It is excellent value inside a Crocoblock subscription, but developers who want code-first workflows or flexible-content layouts may prefer ACF-style tools.

Our estimate, see method below.
How we estimated this: Website scans by WPoptic find the paid plugin (folder jet-engine) on 177,932 live sites; the scans reach roughly 38% of WordPress sites, so each site found stands for about 2.6, giving 470K. The vendor says 30K+ sites use it, and 80% of that is 24K. Vendor totals are loose, so we only move our figure part of the way toward it, from 470K to 380K. Likely range: 190K to 760K. This counts sites running the paid version, including sites whose licence has lapsed. Estimates are rough and based on public figures as of 22 Oct 2026.
