Overview

ARMember, made by Repute InfoSystems, is a feature-dense membership plugin that bundles most capabilities as built-in modules rather than separately sold extensions. It comes in a free Lite edition and a premium plugin sold in Standard, Professional and Enterprise tiers, with yearly or lifetime licences.

The Lite edition covers unlimited membership plans (free, paid one-time and recurring, with trial periods), content access rules for posts, pages and other content, a block restriction, a live form editor for signup and login forms, member profiles and directories, import/export of users, login security and restriction integrations for Gutenberg, Elementor, Divi, WPBakery, Beaver Builder, Oxygen, Bricks and other builders. Payments in Lite are limited to PayPal and bank transfer. Note that the Lite plugin’s WordPress.org listing was closed on 1 February 2025 for a guideline violation, so Lite is now downloaded from the vendor’s site.

Premium tiers

Standard adds Stripe and 20+ other gateways, drip content, pay-per-post, coupons, proration on upgrades and downgrades, tax and invoices, social login, email marketing integrations (Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign, HubSpot and more), WooCommerce, BuddyPress/BuddyBoss and an API. Professional adds digital downloads, multi-language, gift memberships, PDF creator and Zapier. Enterprise adds online courses, a social community module, group (umbrella) memberships, member network sites and WooCommerce discounts. Higher-tier modules can also be bought individually ($25–$79).

Limitations

  • Most useful features need a paid plan, and courses or team memberships need Enterprise.
  • The breadth of settings makes setup slower than simpler plugins.
  • The WordPress.org closure removes the usual public review and update channel for Lite.
  • Pricing is shown with large permanent-looking discounts, making the true renewal cost unclear.

Who should pick it: site owners who want one plugin to cover memberships, courses, community and many gateways and are prepared to buy the Enterprise tier, especially outside the US where gateways like Razorpay, Paystack or Mercado Pago matter.

Best for: Site owners wanting an all-in-one membership, course and community plugin with a wide choice of payment gateways.

ARMember packs an unusual amount into its paid tiers, from proration and invoices to courses, community and group seats, at prices below the big US suites. The Lite edition is useful for trials of the workflow but limited to PayPal, and its removal from WordPress.org is a trust point to weigh before committing.

Pros

  • Free Lite edition with unlimited plans, trials and member directories
  • 60+ built-in modules instead of many separate purchases
  • 22+ payment gateways including regional options
  • Proration, tax and invoices from the Standard tier
  • Courses, community and group memberships in Enterprise
  • Lifetime licence options

Cons

  • Lite only supports PayPal and bank transfer
  • Lite was closed on WordPress.org in February 2025
  • Courses, community and team seats require Enterprise
  • Many settings make setup complex
  • Heavily discounted list prices obscure renewal costs

Estimated Pro / paid installs ~20K

Our estimate, see method below.

How we estimated this: 50K+ claim likely counts all-time buyers (incl. earlier marketplace sales). Assumed 30–50% still active at about one site each -> 15K–25K, est. ~20K. Likely range: 10K to 40K. This counts sites running the paid version, including sites whose licence has lapsed. Estimates are rough and based on public figures as of 14 Oct 2026.
