LearnDash
Premium WordPress LMS for selling and managing courses, with drip content, quizzes, certificates, groups and native Stripe/PayPal checkout.
Premium WordPress course plugin from Thrive Themes focused on visual course design, flexible drip schedules and built-in Stripe selling.
Thrive Apprentice is the course and membership plugin in the Thrive Themes family. It is premium-only and can be bought on its own or as part of Thrive Suite, which also includes Thrive Architect, Thrive Quiz Builder, Thrive Leads and the Thrive Theme Builder.
Courses are organised into modules, chapters and lessons, and every page of the school (course overview, lessons, login, completion pages and certificates) is designed visually with Thrive’s own editor and a large template library. Text, video and audio lessons are supported, along with downloadable resources. Access is controlled through products, which can contain one course or a bundle of courses and other content, and each product can have its own drip schedule: evergreen, calendar-based, by weekday, on fixed dates, after previous content is completed, or triggered by automations.
Stripe is built in for one-time and recurring products, with options for trials and promotion codes, and there are integrations for WooCommerce, ThriveCart, SendOwl, MemberPress and other checkouts. Assessments let students upload files or submit links and quizzes for instructor grading, and certificates include QR verification. Course analytics cover enrolments, completions, drop-off and engagement.
Thrive Apprentice is best for solo creators and small businesses who care about the look and conversion of their course pages and already use, or plan to use, other Thrive tools.
Best for: Solo creators who want visually polished, conversion-focused course sites and already use Thrive tools.
Thrive Apprentice stands out for design freedom and flexible drip rules, and its Stripe selling and assessments cover most solo creators' needs. It is not built for marketplaces, corporate groups or heavy testing, and is best value when bought as part of Thrive Suite.
