Smash Balloon Social Photo Feed
Awesome Motive's Instagram feed plugin for WordPress, part of the Smash Balloon family with separate Facebook, YouTube, TikTok and X feed plugins.
Social wall plugin that mixes posts from 14+ networks into one cached stream, with a free Lite edition and a PRO version sold on CodeCanyon.
Flow-Flow by Looks Awesome (social-streams.com) is one of the longest-running social wall plugins for WordPress. Instead of one feed per network, you build a stream and add as many feeds to it as you like, so Instagram posts, YouTube videos, TikToks and RSS items can sit together in a single, sortable wall.
Settings live under Social Apps > Flow-Flow. You authenticate networks once (one-click for Facebook and Instagram), create feeds, combine them in streams and style the cards in a drag-and-drop card builder with a live preview. Each stream gets a shortcode. Posts are cached in your database on first load and refreshed by a background task, so visitors are served stored posts rather than waiting on API calls; version 5.0.5 added a caching mode that avoids API requests on front-end loads altogether.
The free Lite edition on WordPress.org handles Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, YouTube and RSS feeds in a masonry grid, with background caching, infinite scroll, engagement counters, share buttons and basic exclusion rules. PRO, sold on CodeCanyon for a one-time $59 regular licence, raises the source list to 14+ (LinkedIn, Pinterest, Tumblr, Vimeo, Flickr, SoundCloud, Dribbble, WordPress posts and more) and adds justified, carousel and wall layouts, a lightbox with comments, manual pre-moderation, advanced filters, a search bar, database snapshots, Elementor widgets and priority support. Paid extensions such as Broadcasting also work with Lite.
The X feed needs a paid X API plan (the vendor’s guide cites $100 a month), and the X setup guide is marked outdated. There is no Gutenberg block, shoppable feed or documented GDPR mode, and only an optional image proxy rather than local image storage. Lite comes with no support, and its WordPress.org rating is mixed at 3.3/5.
Who should pick it: sites running event, campaign or brand walls that need many networks mixed into one moderated stream and prefer a one-time licence.
Best for: Brands and event sites that want a moderated social wall combining many networks, bought with a one-time licence.
Flow-Flow is a capable social wall engine that mixes more networks into one stream than most WordPress feed plugins, with sensible database caching and moderation. Its age shows in dated docs, a missing Gutenberg block and no GDPR tooling, so single-network feed users may prefer a more modern option.

Our estimate, see method below.
How we estimated this: The vendor counts 15K+ sites in total; taking away about 7.5K free installs (the middle of the WordPress.org range) leaves 7.5K, of which we count 80% (6K). 23,075 paying customers or sales over 12 years; assuming 30% still use it and 1.3 sites per licence gives 9K. About 7.5K free installs x 8% (the usual share of free sites that also run the paid version when some key features are paid) gives 600. Combining these (weighted average) gives about 5.6K. Likely range: 3.6K to 8.4K. This counts sites running the paid version, including sites whose licence has lapsed. Estimates are rough and based on public figures as of 14 Oct 2026.
