Overview
Easy Affiliate is a premium-only WordPress plugin for running an in-house affiliate program. It comes from the team behind MemberPress (Caseproof) and grew out of their older Affiliate Royale product. There is no free version on WordPress.org; every plan is an annual licence sold on easyaffiliate.com.
How it works
Affiliates sign up through a public form, an application that you approve, or are added privately by an admin. Each affiliate gets a front-end dashboard with stats, a custom link generator, banners and text links, and payout history. Referrals are tracked with a cookie set from links that carry the affiliate’s username, and commissions are recorded from built-in integrations with WooCommerce, MemberPress, Easy Digital Downloads, MemberMouse, WishList Member and PayPal buttons. WooCommerce coupons can also be associated with an affiliate.
Plans
- Basic (1 site): core tracking, dashboard, creatives, subscription commissions, per-affiliate rates, PayPal payouts and the AffiliateWP/Affiliate Royale migrators.
- Plus (3 sites): adds multi-level commission levels and the fraud prevention suite.
- Pro (5 sites): adds Commission Rules (per-product, coupon, volume or affiliate-based rates), form integrations, ActiveCampaign, tax reports and developer tools (REST API and webhooks).
Strengths
Payouts are a highlight: PayPal 1-Click and mass payment files are included on every plan, and there are no transaction fees. The fraud suite can flag or reject self-referrals, sales from sites not listed on the application, and abnormal conversion rates. One-click migration from AffiliateWP lowers switching costs, and MemberPress users get a tight first-party integration.
Limitations
List prices are high for a single site once introductory discounts expire, and the more advanced commission logic is locked to the top plan. Payouts are PayPal or offline only, with no Stripe or store-credit option, and the program runs in a single currency. Coupons must be created and linked by hand rather than generated per affiliate, and the affiliate area is a standalone page rather than part of WooCommerce My Account.
