Slider Revolution
Premium visual builder by ThemePunch for animated sliders, carousels and hero sections, with 200+ templates, addons and social or WooCommerce content.
Visual slider, carousel, hero and popup builder from averta with a free-form editor, templates, dynamic posts and per-device editing.
Depicter is a visual builder from averta, the maker of Master Slider, that creates sliders, carousels, hero sections, popups and notification bars from one editor. It launched in the early 2020s as averta’s next-generation product and is listed on WordPress.org as Depicter – Popup & Slider Builder with 80,000+ active installs.
Depicter opens a design canvas where you place elements freely on each slide: text, images, buttons, shapes, video and more. You can edit positions per desktop, tablet and mobile breakpoint, hide elements per device, set different background images per screen size and preview animations live. Sliders can be built by hand or from WordPress posts, and are inserted with the Depicter block or with widgets for Elementor, Divi, Beaver Builder, Oxygen and others. Performance features include lazy-loaded images and videos, WebP output and an option to load a slider only when it scrolls into view.
The free plan works on unlimited sites and includes the basic slider and hero builders, 146 templates, 15 elements, basic animations and the WordPress Posts data source. Paid plans (Starter, Freelancer, Agency) unlock the carousel builder, advanced hero builder, Ken Burns, parallax, text and background animations, YouTube/Vimeo and video backgrounds, WooCommerce and ACF data sources, Google Reviews, AI slider generation and many more templates and elements.
Depicter is a good fit for designers who want layered, animated hero sliders with proper mobile control and do not mind a yearly licence for the advanced effects. Users who only need a simple carousel may find a lighter plugin cheaper.
Best for: Designers who want animated, layered hero sliders and carousels with real mobile editing.
Depicter is one of the more modern slider builders, combining a free-form canvas, per-device editing and good performance options. The free plan is useful for hero sliders, but carousels, WooCommerce and the eye-catching effects require a paid plan.

Our estimate, see method below.
How we estimated this: About 75K free installs x 8% (the usual share of free sites that also run the paid version when some key features are paid) gives 6K. The vendor claims 100K+ sites in total. Taking away about 75K free installs leaves 25K, and 80% of that is 20K. Vendor totals are loose, so we only move our figure part of the way toward it, from 6K to 7.4K. Likely range: 3.7K to 15K. This counts sites running the paid version, including sites whose licence has lapsed. Estimates are rough and based on public figures as of 22 Oct 2026.
